I'm making new bags - progress shots

Making New products

This week I have a week off between my old job and new job so am spending some time stockpiling and also finishing up some new Emma Makes bags. Here's some progress shots - I plan to load some of the finished bags into my online shop in the next day or two. There's also heaps for sale online already. Here's some progress shots... Working in miniature - a story of hand cramp

Making Tiny Eyes

Part of my collaboration with Tiny Eyes is to make tiny Emma Makes accessories for the doll I'm designing. That's been in the back of my mind and on Saturday night I made a start. With the fire on I hunkered into my end of the couch to hand sew some tiny versions of Emma Makes products. I began by making a tiny version of an Emma Makes stuffed kitten toy. An exciting collaboration with Tiny Eyes

Announcements Events Inspiration Making Tiny Eyes

Over the weekend I received a really exciting email from Dee at Tiny Eyes asking me to collaborate with her in making an Emma Makes-inspired doll. She's asked a few New Zealand makers and all the dolls will eventually be sold online. If you haven't come across Dee, she's a well-known crafter making individually handcrafted fabric dolls in her living room. She has a great following and I'm really excited to work with someone I admire on creating something truly different for me. For now I need to think about how my doll will look (Dee will do the sewing) and what Emma Makes...
